Communications
- develop and implement marketing and communication strategies
- provide expert assistance in planning, advertising, media relations and editorial and design services for print publications and the Web
Computing and Information Technology
- provide basic computer support to departments and units lacking in-house computing staff.
- for departments that have their own support, consult and serve as liaison with the Information Technology Services (ITS) for network and other computer-related requests.
- provide database support for the ASIS and FAS/Payroll systems.
- provide purchasing consultation and support for all FAS departments.
Faculty Appointments and Records
- coordinate recruitment and appointment of faculty as well as promotion and tenure
- process research personnel and visiting scholar appointments
- provide policies and procedures for sabbaticals, leaves without pay and medical leaves
- process changes of status and administrative assignments for faculty
- serve as liaison between faculty, dean, and FAS Grievance Committee for grievance procedures
Fiscal Affairs
- work with faculty to manage grants and other external funds payroll
- assist department administrators with financial planning and management
- provide a background database and manage the approval process for research proposals
Human Resources
- process benefits and provide policies and procedures for staff who are not faculty
